Dustless Blasting Beresfield

Waspindustries — 0422 607 838

Got rust, old paint, render or graffiti you need taken back to clean substrate without a dust cloud over the whole site? That’s what this is. Dustless blasting strips coatings off steel, brick, concrete, timber and machinery using abrasive carried in water, so the dust that normally goes everywhere stays knocked down. If you’re in Beresfield, you’re covered — our depot is here.

Do we come to Beresfield? We come to you across Beresfield — homes and businesses alike, with the same team and the same call-out process throughout the area.

Dustless Blasting in Beresfield

You end up with a surface that’s actually ready for what comes next. Paint, rust, scale, coatings and surface contamination come off, and what’s underneath is left with the profile a new coating needs to bond to. On steel that means bare metal rather than a sanded-over patch. On brick and concrete it means the original face back, not a smeared version of it.

The wet process means far less airborne dust, so work can go ahead near occupied buildings, other trades, stock or vehicles without shutting the area down or sheeting the entire site. You also get the site left clean — spent media and debris cleared, not swept into a corner.

How it works

We look at what you’ve got first, from photos or on site, because the substrate decides the abrasive and the pressure. Soft render and old brick take a very different setting to structural steel.

On the day, we set up containment and protection where it’s needed, then test a small area so you can see the finish before we commit to the whole thing. Blasting runs section by section. Water and abrasive are fed at a pressure matched to the substrate, so coatings come off without the surface being chewed up.

Then we rinse down, clear the spent media and walk the job with you. If the surface is going to be coated, we’ll tell you the window you’ve got before flash rust sets in on bare steel, so your painter isn’t caught out.

Why us

Twenty years of pressure washing and surface cleaning across Newcastle and the Hunter sits behind this — residential and commercial, and the judgement that comes from it is the part that matters. Knowing when a surface needs blasting and when it doesn’t saves you money before a machine is switched on.

The kit backs it up. Equipment, water carts and blasting media are staged from our own depot at 98 Weakley Drive rather than hired in for the day, which is why we can take on jobs that need a specific abrasive or a second cart without a week’s notice.

What it costs

Price comes down to area, what’s coming off and how hard it’s holding on. A single coat of flaking paint on steel moves quickly; forty years of built-up layers on the same steel is a different job. Access matters too — work at height or in tight spots is slower than open ground.

We’d rather quote off photos and a measurement than give you a number that changes on the day. Send through what you’ve got and we’ll tell you what it involves.

Our depot is at 98 Weakley Drive, Beresfield. Gear, water carts and media are staged there, so a job here isn’t something we travel in for — it’s a short run from the yard, and if something on site calls for different media, it’s close by.

Getting started

Send us photos of the surface, a rough size, and tell us what’s going on it afterwards if anything is. That’s enough for a quote in most cases. If it needs eyes on it, we’ll come and look.

Common questions

Do you cover Beresfield?

Yes — we’re based in Beresfield. Our depot is at 98 Weakley Drive, and equipment, water carts and blasting media are staged from there.

How is dustless blasting different from dry sandblasting?

Abrasive is carried in water rather than air alone, so the dust that dry blasting throws into the air is knocked down instead. That’s what lets the work happen near occupied buildings, other trades and stock without sheeting off the whole site.

What surfaces can you blast?

Steel, brick, concrete, timber and machinery. The substrate decides the abrasive and the pressure, which is why we test a small area first so you can see the finish before we commit to the full job.

Do you need to hire equipment in?

No. Equipment, water carts and blasting media are staged from our own depot rather than travelled in for the day, so jobs needing a specific abrasive or extra capacity don’t need a week’s notice.
