Dry Ice Blasting Beresfield

Waspindustries — 0422 607 838

Some surfaces can’t be hosed, scoured or soaked in solvent — live electrical gear, food-production equipment, moulds and tooling, soot-damaged timber, painted steel you want kept. Dry ice blasting cleans those without water, grit or chemicals, and without taking the machine apart. If that’s what you’re up against in Beresfield, you’re on the right page.

Do we come to Beresfield? We come to you across Beresfield — homes and businesses alike, with the same team and the same call-out process throughout the area.

Dry Ice Blasting in Beresfield

You end up with the contamination gone and the surface underneath the way it was. Carbon, grease, adhesive residue, release agent, paint, soot and mould come off; the substrate doesn’t get cut into, roughened or dimpled the way it does with sand or soda.

The other thing you get is a dry site afterwards. The pellets turn to gas on impact, so the only thing left on the floor is whatever came off the surface — sweep it or vacuum it and you’re done. Nothing to drain, nothing to dry out, no grit to find its way into bearings, seals or switchgear months later. Most jobs run with the equipment still assembled and still in place.

How it works

We look at the job first — on site or from photos — because the substrate and the contaminant together decide the pellet size and the pressure. Anything unusual gets a test patch in a spot that doesn’t matter, so you can see the result before the whole thing is committed.

On the day, the area is masked and contained so the debris lands where we want it. Enclosed spaces get ventilation, because the pellets turn to CO2 gas as they work and that gas has to go somewhere. Then the blasting runs, section by section, with the loosened material collected as we go.

We need compressed air and power on site, or we bring our own. At the end you walk the job with us before the containment comes down, so anything you’re not happy with gets another pass while the gear is still set up.

Why us

This isn’t a sideline bought in for the enquiry. Waspindustries has been cleaning commercial buildings and residential properties across the region for over twenty years, and the blasting equipment and media are staged at our own depot rather than travelled in for the day — so a job that needs a second run of media or a different set-up doesn’t cost you a lost afternoon waiting on a hire yard.

What it costs

We quote per job, after seeing it. What moves the number is the area to be covered, how stubborn the contamination is, how much of it there is, how hard the surface is to reach, and whether you need the work done outside production hours. Media consumption is the main running cost, and that’s driven by the first two of those.

A test patch tells us how fast the contamination actually releases, which is why we’d rather do one than guess at a price over the phone.

The depot is here — 98 Weakley Drive, Beresfield. Equipment, water carts and blasting media are staged from that address rather than trucked in for the day, so if you’re in the surrounding industrial estates the gear is already at the right end of the trip.

Getting started

Send us photos of the surface and whatever’s on it, and tell us three things: what the substrate is, whether the equipment can be shut down, and when you’d need it done. We’ll come and look, run a test patch if it’s warranted, and quote the job from what we find.

Common questions

Do you actually cover Beresfield?

Yes — the depot is at 98 Weakley Drive, Beresfield, and jobs are dispatched from there with the equipment and media already on hand.

Does dry ice blasting use water?

No. The pellets turn straight to gas when they hit the surface, so there’s no water, no slurry and no drain to manage. The only residue is the contamination that came off.

Will it damage the surface underneath?

It’s non-abrasive, so it doesn’t cut or roughen the substrate the way sand or soda blasting can. Where a surface is unusual or valuable, we run a test patch in an inconspicuous spot first so you can see the result before committing the whole job.

Do I have to dismantle the equipment first?

Usually not. Most work is done with the machine assembled and in place — that’s the main reason people choose it over methods that need everything stripped, washed and dried.
